There are many people today that deny the events that have occurred in the Bible even though there is documented proof and scientific proof as well as the most imprtant proof of all THE BIBLE which is the very word of God, THE QUESTION IS WILL YOU DENY THIS EVEN THOUGH SHOULD THESE EVENTS TAKE PLACE IN OUR LIFETIME CAN YOU AFFORD NOT TO EVEN CONSIDER THAT THESE EVENTS COULD BE TRUE and then face the consequences that are described in the Bible.

Where Will You Be After the Rapture?

"And after these things I heard a great voice of much people in heaven, saying, Alleluia; Salvation, and glory, and honour, and power, unto the Lord our God: "For true and righteous are his judgments: for he hath judged the great whore, which did corrupt the earth with her fornication, and hath avenged the blood of his servants at her hand. "And again they said, Alleluia. And her smoke rose up for ever and ever. "And the four and twenty elders and the four beasts fell down and worshipped God that sat on the throne, saying, Amen; Alleluia. "And a voice came out of the throne, saying, Praise our God, all ye his servants, and ye that fear him, both small and great. "And I heard as it were the voice of a great multitude, and as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of mighty thunderings, saying, Alleluia: for the Lord God omnipotent reigneth. "Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready. "And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints. "And he saith unto me, Write, Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb. And he saith unto me, These are the true sayings of God. "And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me, See thou do it not: I am thy fellow-servant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy."—Rev. 19:1–10.
Nothing will be the same after the sound of the trumpet, after the descent of the Lord, after the voice of the archangel, after the resurrection of the dead, after the translation of the living—everything will be changed.

God is working out His plan. We are now living in what is commonly called the church age or the dispensation of the church or the age of grace.

But one day ere long, the day of opportunity will end. When the last Gentile believer is saved and the fullness of the Gentiles comes in, then comes the rapture. It will be the end of the church age and the onslaught of tribulation. Following the Tribulation, all of His saints will come with Christ to establish His kingdom upon the earth.

He will fight the battle of Armageddon. John says:
"And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God. "And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS."—Rev. 19:15,16.
Then comes the great millennium, the period of righteousness and peace when the knowledge of God will cover the earth as the waters cover the seas, and into eternity the ages will roll.

God has a plan. God has a program. God has a purpose. God has a prescription.

You are not an accident nor an incident. God has a plan and purpose for your life: It is either counting for Christ or a bad example to the world. I hope each of you can say, "I’m ready for the coming of Christ. I know where I’ll be after the rapture."

AT THE RAPTURE

Can you imagine the consternation that will be going on here on earth! Can you imagine the headlines in the newspapers all over the world the day after the rapture: "Millions Missing From Every Continent!"

Someone asks, "How are we going to solve the employment problem?" God is going to solve that.

Another asks, "How are we going to solve the food problem?" God is going to solve that.

When Jesus comes, every believer will be taken out of this world. Planes will be flying through the air at seven hundred miles an hour; suddenly the saved pilots will be taken out. What about those left who are unsaved?

Cars will be speeding across the highways; the saved drivers will be caught up, but their unsaved passengers will be left. What then?
Ships will be sailing through the ocean; Christian captains will be taken out at the rapture. Then what happens to the ships as they sail unmanned through rough seas?

Trains will be going across the rails; Christian engineers are caught up. What is going to happen to those trains and their passengers who are not saved?

What an awesome day that will be! I’m glad that Christians will not go through that awesome period. God said He is going to spare us of it.
"Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation [that’s the hour of tribulation], which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth."—Rev. 3:10.
TWO CLASSES OF PEOPLE

There are two classes of people—saved and unsaved. Whatever else they are—their status in life, their nationality, their color or creed—they are either saved or lost. There is no middle ground.

Jesus tells us about two ways, two roads, two destinations, and two groups of people. I hope that you find yourself in the right company.
"Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: "Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it."—Matt. 7:13,14.
Notice the contrast of many and few. Most people tonight are not saved. The world is heavily populated with people who have never been born again, dear and precious people who have never trusted the Saviour. What a harvest field! What an opportunity! What a great time to reach out and bring the lost to Jesus, ere the trumpet sounds and time as we know it will be no more! When night settles in, the opportunity to win the lost will be gone. It will be too late when the day of God’s wrath comes!
"Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. "Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? "Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. "A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. "Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. "Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them. "Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. "Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? "And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity."—Matt. 7:15–23.
Not everyone whose name is on a church roll is saved. Some are going into Hell from a church pew. They are depending on their good works or their baptism or their reformation or their turning over a new leaf or signing a card or shaking a preacher’s hand or going into a baptistery. But Jesus said, "Ye must be born again." You must have a new birth, a new life. You must be born all over from above. All who experience the new birth will be raptured when Jesus comes. All who have not experienced the new birth will be left upon the earth to go through the horrors of that awesome period called the Tribulation. The saved will be in Heaven after the rapture; the unsaved will be left on the earth!

THE TIME OF JACOB’S TROUBLE

That awesome period of time is also known as the Time of Jacob’s Trouble. Its duration is seven years. It is divided into two periods of three and one-half years each.

The first three and one-half years will be a time of relative peace. During the last three and one-half years there will be bloodshed and carnage like the world has never known.

In the beginning of the seven-year period, Jesus has already come, the church has been raptured, the saints are gone, and the Antichrist has taken over.

By the way, the only thing keeping the Antichrist from taking over right now is the bodies of believers. The Holy Spirit is not in this pulpit, not in the microphone, not in the building nor in the walls. He is in born-again believers.

The Bible says the Man of Sin, the son of perdition, the Antichrist, cannot come on the scene to rule the world until the Holy Spirit, who lives in believers, is removed.

The Tribulation is described as the Time of Jacob’s Trouble. It is a time to refine the nation of Israel, God’s earthly people, to get them ready to go over into the kingdom age.

At the same time, there is a secondary design and purpose—to punish and judge all nations of the earth. All nations, all unbelievers, will be affected by the Tribulation.

THE ANTICHRIST

The Antichrist will make a covenant, a seven-year treaty.
"Seventy weeks [weeks of years or 490 weeks] are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city [Jerusalem, the central point, and Israel, the chief people], to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy. "Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks."—Dan. 9:24,25.
Let’s do some math. Threescore and two is sixty-two, plus seven, which is sixty-nine weeks. Those sixty-nine weeks are already passed, and there is a great gap between the sixty-ninth week and the seventieth week. We are now in that period called the dispensation of grace or the church age, and when it ends, the seventieth week will begin—the Tribulation Period or the Time of Jacob’s Trouble.

God’s clock stopped when the Jewish nation rejected her Messiah; it doesn’t begin again until after the rapture of the church, during the Tribulation Period, seven years of torture.
"And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself [the crucifixion of Christ]: and the people of the prince [the Antichrist] that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined."—Dan. 9:26.
We believe that the Roman Empire will be revived and the head of that empire will be the Antichrist. He will ultimately rule the whole world religiously, governmentally, economically—in every way.

Everything is now shaping up toward this time: a one-world religion, a one-world economy, a one-world government. All are in the stages of being set tonight for Jesus to come and for the Antichrist to take over.

Thank God, we are not told in Scripture to look for the Antichrist! We are told to look for the Christ of God, Jesus, who shall rise with healing in His wings.

The unsaved world looks for the Antichrist, but we don’t. We are looking for Jesus. I’m like the fellow who said, "I’m not looking for the undertaker; I’m looking for the Uppertaker." How wonderful it would be to cheat the undertaker! Christian undertakers will go to Heaven, but there won’t be any need for their skilled services there because there will be no more death.

"The people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary." We know what happened in A.D. 70 when the Romans, under Titus the Roman general, destroyed the city of Jerusalem, destroyed the temple, which still lies in ruins today.
"And he [the Antichrist, the Man of Sin] shall confirm the covenant with many for one week [seven years]: and in the midst of the week [after the first three and one-half years] he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate."—Dan. 9:27.
Daniel is saying that at the beginning of the Tribulation Period, the Antichrist will make a covenant with Israel—God’s cov-enant and representative people. God made a covenant, and the Antichrist counterfeits what God does.

The Antichrist, empowered by Satan, will make a covenant with Israel. He will allow them to go right on with their oblations, their sacrifices, their religious rituals. There will be relative peace for the first three and one-half years of the Tribulation.

Then, at the end of that first three-and-one-half-year period, the Antichrist will break that covenant. He will turn on Israel. God will open the earth to protect His chosen people from the onslaught of the Antichrist.

What an awesome day! What a day that will be: such bloodshed and carnage! The scene is greater than we can imagine.
We read in Revelation 6:13–16:
"And the stars of heaven fell unto the earth, even as a fig tree casteth her untimely figs, when she is shaken of a mighty wind. "And the heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together; and every mountain and island were moved out of their places. "And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man [every culture of civilization], hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains: "And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb."
This is the last great prayer meeting; but remember, they have been blaspheming God. The people are praying to the wrong things.
"For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand?"—Rev. 6:17.
No one will be able to stand under the wrath of the Lamb.

THE SEVEN VIALS OF GOD’S WRATH

Let’s look at a summation of the great vials of God’s wrath in Revelation, chapter 16:
"And I heard a great voice out of the temple saying to the seven angels, Go your ways, and pour out the vials of the wrath of God upon the earth."—Vs. 1.
This is God Almighty’s wrath poured out on a Christ-rejecting world.

The First Vial
"And the first went, and poured out his vial upon the earth; and there fell a noisome and grievous sore upon the men which had the mark of the beast, and upon them which worshipped his image."—Vs. 2.
Man’s number is just under the number of perfection, just under the number of God, which is 7. The mark of the Beast is 666; and all those who do not have the mark of the Beast either in their foreheads or their hands cannot buy nor sell.

How close are we to that? Everything is mechanized and plasticized; and we are going into a noncurrency economy. Everything is shaping up to the point that one can be tracked and traced anywhere in the world in a second or two.

The Second Vial
"And the second angel poured out his vial upon the sea; and it became as the blood of a dead man: and every living soul died in the sea."—Vs. 3.
The Third Vial
"And the third angel poured out his vial upon the rivers and fountains of waters; and they became blood."—Vs. 4.
After the rapture, when we are at the marriage supper of the Lamb, Christ-rejecters on earth will turn on the faucet, and only blood will come out. That is what the Bible says. If you try to make liberal sense out of the Bible instead of literal sense, it will become nonsense! It is literal; it is actual blood from the faucet.
"And I heard the angel of the waters say, Thou art righteous, O Lord, which art, and wast, and shalt be, because thou hast judged thus. "For they have shed the blood of saints and prophets, and thou hast given them blood to drink; for they are worthy. "And I heard another out of the altar say, Even so, Lord God Al-mighty, true and righteous are thy judgments."—Vss. 5–7.
God will still be a just God.

The Fourth Vial
"And the fourth angel poured out his vial upon the sun; and power was given unto him to scorch men with fire. "And men were scorched with great heat, and blasphemed the name of God, which hath power over these plagues: and they repented not to give him glory."—Vss. 8,9.
The Fifth Vial
"And the fifth angel poured out his vial upon the seat of the beast; and his kingdom was full of darkness; and they gnawed their tongues for pain, "And blasphemed the God of heaven because of their pains and their sores, and repented not of their deeds."—Vss. 10,11.
The judgment of God didn’t bring repentance. These men who were scorched by the sun blasphemed God.

The Sixth Vial
"And the sixth angel poured out his vial upon the great river Euphrates; and the water thereof was dried up, that the way of the kings of the east might be prepared."—Vs. 12.
When someone asked Mao Tse-tung many years ago, "How many men could you send into war?" he answered, "Two hundred million!"
The Revelation says there will be two hundred million soldiers marching across the continent, across the Euphrates toward the land of the
Bible.

The Seventh Vial
"And the seventh angel poured out his vial into the air; and there came a great voice out of the temple of heaven, from the throne, saying, It is done. "And there were voices, and thunders, and lightnings; and there was a great earthquake, such as was not since men were upon the earth, so mighty an earthquake, and so great."—Vss. 17,18.
This earthquake will be unlike anything the world has ever known before. It will be a day like has never been and will never be again.
"And the great city was divided into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell [Tokyo, London, Havana, Moscow, Miami, San Francisco—all of the great cities]: and great Babylon came in remembrance before God, to give unto her the cup of the wine of the fierceness of his wrath."—Rev. 16:19.
The sensual world system comes before the mind of God to give unto her the cup of the wine of the fierceness of His wrath.
"And every island fled away, and the mountains were not found. "And there fell upon men a great hail out of heaven, every stone about the weight of a talent [one hundred pounds]: and men blasphemed God because of the plague of the hail; for the plague thereof was exceeding great."—Vss. 20,21.
That is to happen on the earth. Do you have loved ones who are unsaved? You had better do your best to get them to Jesus! Do you have unsaved friends? You had better do your best to get them to Jesus! When the trumpet sounds, the day of grace is over, and the great day of God’s wrath is come.

THE MARRIAGE SUPPER OF THE LAMB

While this is happening on earth, Christians will be in Heaven enjoying the marriage supper of the Lamb! That is a seven-year honeymoon!
I remember when my wife and I were married, we went around the block in a car furnished by a dear friend. He even paid for a room in a hotel. Yes, some of us had just a simple room for a weekend honeymoon.

But when Jesus comes, we will have a seven-year honeymoon! We are His bride, we are married to Him, and He is going to come for His waiting bride. While we’re having a seven-year honeymoon, the awesome judgment will be happening on earth.

I am so glad that Christians have already found their refuge in the Rock of Ages.
Rock of Ages, cleft for me, Let me hide myself in Thee; Let the water and the blood, From Thy wounded side which flowed, Be of sin the double cure, Save from wrath and make me pure. Could my tears forever flow, Could my zeal no languor know, These for sin could not atone; Thou must save, and Thou alone: In my hand no price I bring, Simply to Thy cross I cling. Rock of Ages, cleft for me, Let me hide myself in Thee.
Ladies and gentlemen, I bid you to run away and hide tonight in the Rock of Ages, Jesus Christ, the Lamb of God.

Prayer for the New Year

As we enter into a new year may the blessed name of our wonderful saviour be made known througout the world, and as we anticipate his second coming may we as christians continue to share the Good News of the Gospel of Jesus Christ with all those that we meet and may we see many people come to know him as their personal saviour and may we remain faithful to him that has redeemed us from the hand of the enemy open the eyes that are blind to see that Jesus is the only way back to God and that they come to repentance and accept Jesus as their Lord and saviour and live a victorious life for our soon coming King in Jesus name Amen

The (kenos taphos) of Jesus

The meaning of the word CENOTAPH means empty tomb the word is derived from the Greek word’s kenos (EMPTY) taphos (TOMB)

There are many cenotaph’s worldwide which are dedicated to fallen soldiers and others who have given their lives for their country and for freedom, they remind us of the sacrifice that they made for mankind so that we might live our lives freely, we are indeed thankful for all that has been done for us and the cenotaphs are fitting to remind us of this.

But there is ONE IMPORTANT CENOTAPH that the world has forgotten and that is outside a place called Jerusalem where the Son of God was laid to rest after he was crucified, but then after he arose from the dead the tomb became a cenotaph

This CENOTAPH should be a reminder that Jesus sacrificed his life and then arose from the dead so that we might be set free from the greatest enemy that mankind has ever faced that is Satan and death

Are we truly thankful about what Jesus has done for us and indeed is still doing for us? or have we forgotten?

May we continually be reminded of this Great Truth

BACKSLIDING "A SLIPPERY SLOPE"

Many Christians today think that there is no chance of them backsliding or (turning away from the lord and the church) That is something that the devil would want us to believe, but he is cunning and subtle and he will use any means possible for us to take our eyes of the Lord Jesus Christ.

I watched with interest a number of years ago where a man was on TV who for some reason wanted to ski down from the very top of a mountain, and after he had reached the summit he set off and almost immediately put one ski in a wrong position where the ski got trapped in-between rocks taking the ski off his foot which then caused him to tumble and fall down the mountain completely out of control breaking one of his legs and ribs and suffering many other injuries which must have caused him a great deal of pain and discomfort and also to his watching family and friends as well as they watched him fall.

God must feel the same but in an even greater way as he watches any of his children backslide down that slippery slope of sin There are many times in the Bible where God has had to watch his children in these circumstances, the Children of Israel backslid in the desert (Exodus 32)

The Bible tells us that "The backslider in heart is filled with his own ways" (proverbs 14:14a)

Indeed a backslider will seek after things that are pleasing to himself rather than pleasing God, backsliding can also include not reading the Bible daily, praying, being in church and so on, the devil will try to prevent the Christian from doing any of these things and living a life that is pleasing to God.

I speak from experience as I have been on that slippery slope and have experienced all the pain and hurt that backsliding can cause.

But going back to the TV item about the man who fell down the mountain, after he had been treated and recuperated from his injuries he was determined to go back to the top of the mountain again and to get things right the next time.

Now if there was a man who was that determined to do that in his own strength, what more can a Christian do and achieve knowing that the Lord is with his children (Philippians 4:13)

You may say "But God cannot forgive me" don’t listen to that voice, that is the devil lying to you, because he does not want you to get things right with God and to worship God anymore, he wants you to be of no effect in this sin ridden world.

God tells us in His word that this is not true consider the prodigal son (Luke 15:11-23) see also (Jeremiah 3:12, Hosea 14:4, 2 Chronicles 7:14-15) So as we can see God is merciful to those who repent and turn back to Him

I have found that since I got my heart right with God and turned back to Him I can feel that God is working in my life again, and He has given me His peace which is now more precious to me now that I’m back in the fold.

I would encourage anyone who feels that they are not backsliding to take a careful look at themselves and consider if they are backsliding without even realising it (1 Corinthians 10:12-13)

May each and every one of us who know the Lord be determined to keep our eyes firmly fixed on Jesus the author and finisher of our faith.

Welcome to Faith United Church of God in this month of December 2007 it has been another eventful year and although there have been so many terrible events and tragedies that have occurred, yet there has been much that we can be thankful for in that God has been faithful to sustain and keep us throughout the year in many ways, too numerous to mention but praise the Lord he will return one day to keep his promise to his children may the seasons blessings be on all who read this and may we never forget the reason for season God bless

THE HEART IN THE MIDST OF SUFFERING AND PAIN

While I was in hospital having a operation I was reminded of a few spiritual truths that the Christian and indeed the unbeliever may like to consider, While there I got into a conversation with another Christian who reminded me that although the surgeon who operated on me was skilful with the knife, there is a even greater physician who is even more skilful with a two edged sword (the word of God) which is even sharper that that of the surgeons knife as it cuts through right to the persons soul that great physician is none other than the Lord Jesus Christ.

Some other things that came to mind as I observed the nursing staff and the amount of care and compassion they showed to their patients and how committed they are to their work, I thought of the Lord Jesus and how he shows us care and compassion and how he committed himself to the work that he had been given to do.

I also considered peoples conditions as they came with all their physical problems I considered that all this is due to what happened in the garden of Eden where the disease of sin and suffering crept in to this world.

Although I was apprehensive of the operation that I was about to go through I knew that the Lord was going to be with me throughout this I was reminded "not to let my heart be troubled "

Concerning the heart during the recovery my heart was racing and my blood pressure was up and down causing me to faint twice, but the lord sent ministering angels in the form of the nursing staff, I was reminded of the scripture in Isaiah where it says "But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint."

Also concerning the heart as I was reading the scriptures I read in the psalms that we should "be of good courage and he shall strengthen the heart all they that hope in the Lord" they are comforting words to us who know him but the scripture also tells us that "the heart is deceitful and desperately wicked" due to the sinful nature of mankind.

But there is hope as we found in the scriptures, the Bible tells us that if we confess with our mouth the lord Jesus and believe in our heart that God raised him from the dead we shall be saved

When I left hospital I was asked if I would like to keep the name tag that I had to wear during my stay as a souvenir I told the nurse that I was not sure if I wanted to keep something that reminded me of the pain and suffering I went through although in the end I did keep it

But then later on that day the thought came to mind that the name of Jesus was written upon the cross of Calvary and that the cross is a reminder to us all of the pain and suffering that he went through for us, may we continue to remember what he as done for us, and may many more people give their hearts to the lord Jesus who will set them free from the pain and the suffering that sin brings into peoples lives indeed Jesus has a heart for those who in the midst of pain and suffering.

My prayer is that the person that reads this gives their heart to the Lord Jesus Christ let him free you from the suffering you are going through and let him give you his peace like he has done for me

We as a Church are saddened to see Reverend Johnson leave St Georges after knowing him and his dear wife Judy for a long tme, however as Christians we also know that ALL THINGS WORK TOGETHER FOR GOOD TO THEM THAT LOVE GOD and it is been very evident in their ministry that they love the Lord with all their heart, although we shall miss them we want them to know that our friendship and fellowship in the Lord will never Diminish

FROM DARKNESS TO LIGHT

In the month of July 2002 in the state of Pennsylvania U. S.A, nine miners who were working in a mine became entombed in the bowels of the earth, when a face in which they were working on caved in after the machinery they were using broke through into a disused mine shaft, causing a vast amount of water to pour through into the mine they were working in.

the miners must have thought that their lives were over as the darkness and the freezing water covered them, can you ever begin to imagine the fear and the anxiety they all must have felt as they realized their hopeless position?

Above the ground a vast amount of men, women and resources were put into operation to rescue these men. It must have felt like there was no way there could have been anyone who could have survived this terrible occurrence, yet despite this men and women labored day and night around the clock to rescue these trapped men, even after a drill bit that they were using broke, they never gave up hope of rescuing them..

Churches around the area and indeed around the world were praying for a miracle to happen, and after three nights in the depths of the freezing darkness of the mine the rescuers broke through and one by one the trapped miners were brought back to the surface into the bright light and the gaze of those that rescued them and into the arms of their loved ones.

One placard read "PRAISE THE LORD" which indeed was appropriate as he had answered the prayers of many, as he brought these men up from the edge of death, to be reunited with their loved ones, who must have thought that they would never see their husbands fathers or sons again

There is much we can learn from this:

For the Christian

If we believe God can deliver people from circumstances beyond what may seem an impossible situation he can.

We can also learn from the example of the men and women involved in the rescue, and that was to never give up in our attempts to rescue the perishing.

We can also learn to make use of the resources that God has provided us with for this task

For the Non Christian

we would like you to consider your position at this time.

What would you have done if you was in the position of those miners were in?

Would you have cried out for someone to save you?

Would you have cursed your fortune and indeed God and asked the question why me?

Would you have just been so terrified at the outcome of it all and realized that there was no way out and that death would be your final end?

For a true record of what happens after death the Bible is very clear (Hebrews 9:27) reads "and it is appointed unto men once to die: but after death the judgement." This death is due the sin that occurred in the garden of Eden (Romans 5:12) reads "Wherefore as by one man sin entered into the world and death by sin, and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned." (Romans 6:23) reads "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our lord."

So we see from Gods word the Bible that all of us are sinners before God and the penalty for our sins is death (separation from God for all eternity) yet God in his loving and merciful grace is not willing that any should perish (2 Peter 3:9) and loves us so much that he sent his son Jesus Christ to die on the cross for our sins and to pay the penalty on our behalf.

All that God asks is that we repent and that we believe in our hearts that Jesus died for us personally and that he arose from the grave and now lives and ask Jesus to come into our hearts and lives as our personal saviour then he will save us from the coming Judgement of The Holy God who created us

The men at the mine in Pennsylvania was in darkness for three nights and must have prayed fervently for someone to come and rescue them from that terrible place and to be reunited with their loved ones

Compare that with the darkness of eternity where there will be separation from God and loved ones for eternity for those that do not accept Gods free gift of salvation in Jesus Christ.

Can you imagine the joy of the men as they emerged from the darkness into the light and into the arms of their loved ones?

Jesus said "I am the light of the world he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life." (John: 12)

Will you turn your heart over to Jesus today and ask him to save you? Or will you spend the rest of eternity separated from God and your loved ones?

God does answer prayer as we have seen in the circumstances of those miners so if you are willing for Jesus to come into your heart and life today just pray this simple prayer from the heart

Dear Lord Jesus I do believe in my heart that I am a sinner and I now repent of my sin and I do believe that you died on the cross for my sin and that you come into my heart and be my lord and personal saviour in Jesus name amen

ARE YOU READY?

At 12.53am on the 23rd September 2002 when most people in the UK were asleep in their beds, a earthquake measuring 4.8 on the Richter scale hit the West midlands town of Dudley causing many people to awake, some fearfully as a rumbling sound and shaking rocked their homes, causing people to wonder what was happening.

The shock waves were felt over a vast amount of the UK even being felt on the continent of Europe. People inundated the authorities with telephone calls some even going to their local police stations to enquire what was happening. This earthquake which was the strongest to hit the UK in a decade caused quite a stir with it happening so fast and so suddenly.

This isn’t the first instance of earthquakes and it will not be the last in recent times there seems to be more earthquakes now than ever before

The Bible tells us that when Jesus died on the cross for our sins there was a great earthquake causing a hardened roman soldier to fear and recognise that this event was more than just a ordinary earthquake and he recognised that Jesus truly was the Son of God (Matthew 27:50-54) The Bible tells us of another earthquake where Jesus was involved that event was his resurrection where Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went to see where Jesus lay, there was a great earthquake and the angel of the Lord came and rolled away the sealed stone from the door to the tomb of Jesus. Which once again brought fear and trembling to hardened roman soldiers guarding the tomb (Matthew 28:1-8, 27:62-66) the angel saying "fear not (to the two Mary’s) for I know that ye seek Jesus which was crucified, he is not here for he is risen, as he said, come see where he lay."

Another event that a earthquake is described in the Bible is found in Zechariah where there will be a great earthquake like the world has never seen, when God himself will stand upon the Mount of Olives the battle of Armageddon (Zechariah 14:1-9, Revelation 19:11-12) This same Jesus will come and stand as was promised on the mount of olives (Acts 1:6-12)

But before any of that occurs the Bible tells us that Jesus will take his Church (Those that have believed the Gospel concerning his death burial and resurrection and have accepted him as their personal saviour) out of this world to meet him in the air, this event could occur at any moment, the Bible says that he could come in the twinkling of an eye (1 Corinthians 15:51-52)

The questions need to be asked ARE YOU READY should he come back today or tonight while you sleep?

Will you be left behind to face the events described in the Bible?
Some may say "are theses really the last days we are living in?
How do you know they are not the last days?Jesus said, "no man knows the hour" (Mark 13:32-37)

Will you be sleeping should he return?

Our prayer is that you turn to Jesus today for salvation all he asks is that you believe that you are a sinner and need to repent and turn to him by faith and trust him that he died for your sins and accept him into your heart and life and only he alone that can save you

THE DAY THAT CHANGED THE WORLD

September 11th 2001 will go down in history as a day that people will remember for a long time, as the people of the United States of America suffered a horrific attack on the World Trade Centre in New York City. Also on the pentagon building in Washington D.C. There was also a plane that was hi jacked and was going to be used for another terrorist attack, until a group of heroic passengers tried to overcome the terrorists and take back the plane but unfortunately crashed killing everyone on board, in effect they sacrificed their lives to stop further atrocities from taking place.

We all watched in horror and disbelief, as events unfolded before us on television as thousands of innocent people died that day. Many lives were affected by the tragedy and are still being affected and maybe some are asking the question WHY?

The answer is simple SIN and all mankind are guilty of this (Romans 3:23)

There are many people who have said that September 11th was a day that the world changed, indeed in many ways it has, people started to look inwardly at the uncertainty of their lives, they also looked to God for comfort and strength during those days, but in time people will forget about that day and carry on with their lives thinking about that day especially on the anniversary except for those that lost loved ones who will never forget.

Many people have forgotten that over 2000 years ago there was another day that changed the world at a place called Calvary outside the walls of Jerusalem where the innocent Lamb of God Jesus Christ was cruelly put to death by sinful man, like a Lamb to the slaughter (Isaiah 53) Yet out of all the pain and suffering and shame he was going through for sinful man (Matthew 27) he cried out "Father forgive them, for they know not what they do"

When the people left home to go to work in the World Trade Centre and the Pentagon and indeed those that was flying and the emergency services did not know that they was going to die that day, Yet Jesus knew he would be put to death even before he was born (Revelation 13:8) He sacrificed his perfect sinless life that we might gain the hope of eternal life through simply believing that he died for our sins and that he was buried and arose again from the dead and to ask for forgiveness and for him to come into our heart and life as our personal saviour asking him to save us from the penalty for our sins (Romans 6:23)

Tragedy occurred on September 11th 2001 in New York Washington D.C. also the planes

VICTORY occurred at Calvary and countless millions of lives have been changed down through the ages because of what happened at Calvary (will your life be changed too after reading this and considering The Lord Jesus Christ?

One of the dying thieves next to Jesus had his eternal destiny changed at Calvary (Luke 23:39-43) when Jesus said "Today thou shalt be with me in paradise"

There are a couple of questions that could be asked now:

Will you allow Jesus Christ to come into your heart and change your eternal destiny?

Will you seek God as the people did in the aftermath of September 11th?

Is today the day that your life be changed by the events of the day that happened at Calvary over 2000 years ago?

God hears the prayers of the sincere seeker (2nd Corinthians 6:2)

CALVARY WAS INDEED A DAY THAT CHANGED THE WORLD FOR ETERNITY

Of The Scriptures

Of The Creation

Of The Church

We believe that a Church is a congregation of baptized believers associated by a covenant of faith and fellowship of the Gospel, said church being understood to be the citadel and propagator of the divine and eternal grace; observing the ordinances of Christ; governed by His laws; exercising the gifts, rights, and privileges invested in them by His Word; that its officers of ordination are pastors or elders whose qualifications, claims, and duties are clearly defined in the scriptures.
We believe that men and women are spiritually equal in position before God but that God has ordained distinct and separate spiritual functions of men and women in the home and in the church. The husband is to be the leader of the home and men are to hold the leadership positions (pastors and deacons) in the church. Accordingly, only men are eligible of licensure and ordination for pastor by the church.
We believe the true mission of the church is found in the Great Commission: first, to make individual disciples; second, to build up the church; third, to teach and instruct as He has commanded. Of The Resurrection And Return Of Christ And Related Events

We believe in and accept the sacred Scriptures upon these subjects at their face and full value.
